Solved: Switching From DSL to COMCAST

I'm using an HP desktop computer and I'm fed up with DSL. Sometimes I get a signal and sometimes I have to practically "negotiate" with my modem to make it work. The folks at Comcast say that I'll have to have a wireless router because there is no cable jack available in the room that I use my computer. The cable jack and modem is in another room. I don't know anything about wireless routers so I'm not sure what to get.
