Time Warner gave me an Arris all-in-one modem/router. I already had and liked my Linksys so I disabled my Arris' wireless in its settings at 192.168.100.1. Seemed everything was then OK: My ports forwarded, the Arris wi-fi name no longer appeared in Airport and it seemed as if I was finally back to my preferred setup: the Arris modem and Linksys router.
However, when I went to login to the Linksys on my Linksys wifi name at the universal Linksys login of 192.168.1.1, it timed out and didn't present the screen to login. Then I went to check my IP and it's the IP that was active with the Arris router, not the Linksys.
So I'm really confused. It seems as if literally my two routers are crossed -- the correct wifi name with the old IP and the inability to login to the correct wifi address at 192.168.1.1.
What should I do?
