Slower speeds in different room? Ethernet

Hi guys

I'm trying to understand why my internet is slower in my bedroom than my living room.

I have a router in the living room with a Mac Mini connected directly (ethernet) to the router. I get my full speeds (150Mbps) on that computer with no issues..

In my bedroom, I get anywhere from 90-95 Mbps. The setup in my bedroom is a 100ft ethernet cable going from the router in the living room into my bedroom which then connects directly to a TP-Link 1000Mbps 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch. Then I have another shorter ethernet cable which is also plugged into the switch which is connected directly to my three month old 27" iMac. I thought it was my old switch that I had, which only supported up to 100 Mbps... I went on Amazon and purchased the TP-Link 1000Mbps 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch, but to my dismay the speeds have remained the same even though this Switch is much more capable.

My Specs:
27" iMac
Intel Core i7 3.5 GHz
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB
1TB SSD

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Guys
