Hello my name is clark, I would like the input of anyone who works as a professional in the information systems field. I am looking at going to school for either Information Systems/Network management or Computer Science. I would be getting my degree from the University of Utah. The IS/Networking degree there is under the college of business. about 67% of the required classes that are business classes. only about 30% being IS classes. now i know you have to deal with some business stuff but isnt like 80% of your job dealing with the information systems? it just seems wierd not to have the IS degree under the college of computer science and have more computer science, IS classes with only a few business classes. my friend who works in information systems says i should just get a degree in computer science and take some IS classes then I will still easily be able to get a job in the IS field. is this true? does the degree not matter so much as long as you know your IS stuff and have at least a degree? thanks for your input!

-Clark
