I have comcast and dish network using a motorola sbg6580 gateway. Have spent hous with comcast, motorola ,and dish and still can not connect my TV to the internet either wired direct or wireless. My computers work fine and my cell detects the network. Comcast blames dish and dish blames comcast and both blame the gateway. I think that if you hardwire the gateway it should work so I think that the gateway is to blame??. When I log into the modem it comes up as a charter network I don't know how to change it to comcast or if you can?? Do I need to get a new non wireless modem with a router, which I'm told is a better setup or switch to an old modem I have with a an old netgear wireless router?? I have spent hours on this and am ready to rip all out and start over again but for the cost.
