Limited connectivity with a working internet connection

Hi there
I am having a rather unprecedented problem with my internet connectivity.

To start, some basic information about my computer:
Running windows 7 Home Premium service pack 1
Acer Aspire X3470 (Desktop Computer)
Linksys Wireless-G 802.11 USB wireless adapter

Our home network has another desktop connected to the router through a hardline connection, another laptop connected through wireless, and 2 handheld devices also connected wirelessly. none of these devices have had connection issues.
Recently, we have had an IT tech come in and replace the router with a new one, as well as change the
wireless broadcast channel to fix a previous connection issue. (the one involving my computer persisted before the new router, and the channel change up until now)

So, what is happening here is a little beyond my comprehension. I have had a decent amount of experience
with troubleshooting, especially network troubleshooting. in the past, there has not been a lot of problems I haven't been able to fix myself or through research, however i have not seen this ever occur before.

The USB adapter connected fine to the wireless network at my previous house, however since I've been here, the adapter will connect perfectly fine, and display a full internet access message. My browser will load up one or two web pages perfectly, and within about 30 seconds of actually using the internet connection, the browser will stall, taking 10 minutes or more to load a web page, if at all.
If i disconnect, and reconnect, i will get another 30s of uninterrupted full internet connection, then it dies down. I say dies down because the internet connection does not drop completely, nor will the connection read "limited access". The 30s of "good internet" is not determined by when i reconnect to the network, but rather, 30sec from when i try to load the first webpage. The computer says that the connection is perfectly fine, and the network troubleshooter reads; "cannot identify the problem", "network cable is broken", "your internet connection is working", and only once did it respond with "cannot connect to default gateway". Clik here to view.

under network status, it reads

IPv4 connectivity: Internet
IPv6 connectivity: no internet access

Activity Sent: increasing
Activity Received: increasing

Connection details:
DHCP enabled: Yes
Autoconfig IPv4...: my IP address
IPv4 subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
IPv4 default gateway: blank
IpV4 DNS server: blank
IPv4 WINS server: blank
NetBIOS over Tcpip enaled : Yes
IPv6 Default gateway: blank
IPv6 DNS servers: fec0.0.0ffff::1%1, fec0.0.0ffff::2%1, fec0.0.0ffff::3%1

Remedies i have tried:
Resetting router
network troubleshooter
connecting to a different network
updating USB adapter drivers
removing old network connections that might interfere
changing router channel
Manually setting IP settings for IPv4 and IPv6 including manually setting a default gateway
CMD ipconfig/release ipconfig/renew
and a combination of all of these at the same time
I however, have no way to hardline a connection to the router due to distance (it's only about 6 feet but there are too many things in the way and i can't leave the cable there)
the only way i have successfully got an internet connection was through a network bridge to a laptop, and then resolving a slew of IP conflicts, hours of work and I have to disconnect each time.

If anyone has any ideas for a fix, or something to try, I greatly appreciate it.
