Hi. My name is Joan. I didn't know what forum to get started in so perhaps one might advise me. I am 69 and a retired widow. I am paying 70.00 a month for internet through Century Link here in central FL. Not many options in a rural area. I have what is called a stand alone DSL(forgive me if I don't word correctly). I don't have a home phone because I don't see the need. Why can't my internet provider change my status? I have talked to them many times but get no where. I can't believe with the technology we have today that my problem cannot be resolved. If I have gotten to you in error, I apologize. I just need some answers. Thanks.
