Hi. I seem to have a problem that is very obscure.
My internet connection has been working fine with speeds between 60 and 100 Mbps until about a week and a half ago.
The connection speed to the internet dropped to a range between 6 and 10 Mbps and for no apparent reason.
There have been no recent major changes to my computer and nothing has been installed (except for new drivers in my search for a solution) for two weeks.
My ISP doesn't seem to be the problem as testing with a different computer gives me the desired speeds.
I have:
* No viruses that I know of. I have checked my computer with hijackThis and full scans with avast! and I find no problems.
* Looked over my running/ installed programs and found nothing out of place.
* Checked, updated and installed the drivers for my Realtek PCIe GBE controller. (RTL8168E)
* Looked over the settings for the network card in device manager and found nothing out of place, didn't change any settings as I don't have enough knowledge.
What is the next step to troubleshoot this?
