I have a Windows XP PC that is not wireless network ready. I do have a network router in my house and have 2 other wireless network ready computers using it without any problems.
I currently have the XP machine I mentioned above networked using a RJ 45 cable from the computer directly to the router. I need to move this computer to another room and it would be really difficult to run a RJ 45 cable that far.
I was wondering about the installation and setup.
I am hoping I can just plug a wireless network adapter into one of the computers USB ports and I'm quite sure the necessary drivers for it will automatically install.
I am hoping that a icon will show in the windows task bar at the bottom of the screen and that all I should have to do is click on that icon and provide the router password - do this sound like what I can expect?
Anyone bought and install one of these that they can recommend that will install and work easily? If so, please provide the devices manufacturer.
