Slow connection speed on Vizio TV and PS3

Hello Tech Support Gang,
I have 20mbps TimeWarner Cable internet.

I have a Motorola Surfboard extreme cable modem SB6141 and a TRENDne tAC1750 Dual Band Wireless Router.

When I use http://www.speedtest.net/ on my pc I get 20mbps download speeds. This is wireless and through the router.

However, my Vizio M651D-A2R TV and PS3 both experience limited internet speeds... 9mbps or slower when I test their connections.

The internet connection affects my viewing of 3d and super highdef videos on netflix. When I try to play 3d the message indicates my connection is not fast enough.

I then plugged my TV directly into the cable modem... there was no impact on download speed. So it is not the router.

My next step is to try using my PC as a proxy like explained here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=34192

Ideally I would not have to do that. Any suggestions?
