HI!
I recently received a wireless modem/router from comcast. We connected it, renamed it also changed the password and it works properly. We can connect our playstation, phones, and other devices to it through the wifi with no problems. My neighbor across the street can connect on his computer with ease also. When I get on my laptop and try to connect. It says that it is connected but its not. What I mean is the little globe does not show up in the bottom right corner of the screen. Even when I open a browser it says it has no internet connection! When I go to the network and sharing center it has (" my computer "---------- unknown network-----X------ internet) and nothing is in color. Then under the little map thing it has a clock and beside that it says trying to identify IP? :confused:
I can connect with the neighbors wifi with no problem. I can connect to any and all wifi hotspots also. I have an ethernet cable and as soon as I plug it in. The internet automaticly connects but I dont want that. I pay for a wireless internet for my computer and for some reason cant use it!! :mad: Can someone please tell me how to fix my problem? :confused:
Also I must say that I know a little about computers but Im not a wiz. So I might need steps on how to fix it. lol
