In the apartment there are two telephone lines coming out of the wall. When I plug the phone into one of them I can make (internal) calls. The other one just makes a tone like I am dailing out and it is ringing someone.
When I plug either into the modem and then connect to that modem from my laptop (either wireless or cabled) or on my phone, I cannot connect to the internet.
The modem is one that I bought with me from my previous apartment so it does work.
Is there anything I should be doing with the two phone lines?
Do I need to reconfigure the modem for the new connection? I'm not sure how to get into the modem setup/admin page.
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.
