Solved: Acer Aspire 5315, only local access to router, no internet

Hi,

I've just got a new router I can't access the internet on my laptop. The laptop has local access to the router, and I have no problem connecting other devices to the internet through the router.

The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5315.

I'm not very technologically minded, so any really basic instructions for things I can try would be greatly appreciated!
