So I bought a Chromecast device to stream from my computer to the TV, not knowing that i need an intermediary device. I didnt have one, so I installed my old netgear PCI card into my computer so that my computer, which is connected to the internet via my router, will see the Chromecast device and then connect it up to my router. Well not only does it not see the Chromecast signal, but although it sees my router, it will not connect to it. Does anybody have any idea why either of these things would happen and what the possible fixes are, if any? My device is the WG311v2, 802,11g WiFi PCI card. It's relatively old, 2004. I just downloaded and installed the most recent driver from 2004.
