Internet connectivity completly stopped Help!

Hi I have a Dell Vostro 400 Desktop with windows vista basic 32 bit.

The internet connection just went out. I tried going into network and sharing to disable and enable but the icon was not there. I went into Device manager and saw Network Adaptor Intel (R) 8256v-2 10/100 so I disabled that and enabled it and it did not do anything.

I could sure use some help here.
