I'm staying in the middle east (Qatar) and have fiber optic broadband. The download / upload speeds are incredible but whilst gaming I get a high ping. Normally around 100ms to 250ms. I completed a "tracert" on multiple servers around Europe and have got the following results:

I normally get around 1ms to the IP address listed as item four above, but when it goes through item five my ping increases massively. Thereafter its back to same 1ms differences. This is the web address of the equipment with the IP address (item 5) https://db-ip.com/89.211.2.230
I've tried to use a VPN (hotspot shield elite) but this only increases my ping further. I've contacted my ISP but they only shrug me off and tell me they'll fix it....
Do you guys know any other options which I may pursue as this ping makes gaming not so enjoyable.
