Issues with wifi

I have been having problems with my wifi. It just begun about a week ago. Currently my wifi is not working on my laptop past 10 feet from the router. This is new, and prior to last week there was no issue. When I place my laptop in the same spot it was for 3 years where it has no issues prior to this week it does not detect my wifi router. But when I walk close to the router it works.

Would this be an issue with my internal wireless card or antenna?
