I've been having a lot of problems lately with high ping while playing video games. I've tried changing channels on the router settings to help with competition against the neighbors' connections. These high ping spikes only seem to occur as i'm playing a game such as DotA 2, but seem to be normal while watching streaming sites (YouTube and Netflix). Sometimes the network disconnects completely, so I power cycle the router and modem, but still have the same problems. I've recently downloaded the program, PingPlotter to make sure it was not the DotA servers that were having issues. Looking at my connection, it keeps varying from 78 Mbps and will sometimes drop to 5.5 Mbps. Checking speedtest, I normally have around 2 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload. Anyone have any suggestions to making a faster connection, or may it be a problem with my ISP?
