Ok so I have Time Warner Cable in PA. I pay for 30/5 down up speed. I have an ARRIS DG860 Modem but have also used the Motorola SBG6580 and have had the same internet problems. I run a direct connection to my modem (wireless disabled) with my xbox and my computer modem connected my ISP Modem. For the past month my online gaming has been lagging and my internet has had terrible and inconsistent speed tests. If I restart my modem and run a speed test I get my full optimal speeds but that lasts for about 5 minutes and then it significantly drops and when I say drops I mean it will drop from like 30 down to about 3 down and it will keep going up and down when I test again from like 14 down to 7 down back to 3 down and so on and so fourth. My upload speed is always consistent but not my download. For the record my ping is about 47-50ms. Something is definitely up with my internet though and I am trying to avoid having a tech come down here to fix it but I will if I have to. When I run a trace route here are my results.

Now obviously this is very jumpy but what I notice the most is the 547ms to my local ip? It's very odd. Ans when I run a ping test on pingtest.net I have 3% packet loss. I feel like I have tried everything and I am getting no where so I need some serious help. PLEASE SOMEBODY! Also I should note that I am running a very long coaxial cable that runs from my room (2nd floor) through my wall, through my siding, down my siding, underground, and finally to our telephone pole in my backyard, probably 50 yards away from my modem I would say. Something about that can't be good as well. I just dont know where to start here.
The thing I use my internet for the most is my xbox and that was what really is the most annoying thing because I am paying a lot of $ for these speeds and my connection will drop out of no where and I will start lagging after like the first game I play. Even if I am hosting a game it is lagging for me. Weird. HELP!!
