Running Windows 7 on Asus K50I laptop
I recently tried to manually clean my laptop removing AVG, CCleaner, and a few other programs and files. (Bad idea)
And immediately, I cannot connect to the internet via ethernet (wired) or wireless. The laptop has worked for over a year on ethernet and at times I use wireless. A separate laptop is connected via wireless so I am confident it is not the modem, router, or wireless (which were all restarted).
The Windows Network Diagnostics says:
- There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection adapter.
- There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection adapter.
Detail says: Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.
Steps taken:
- Disabled and enabled Atheros Ethernet controller and Atheros Wireless Network Adapter;
- Reinstalled Atheros Ethernet Controller and Atheros Wireless Network Adapter drivers;
- Reset the TCP/IP Winsock, IPv4, and IPv6 and restarted;
- Restarted laptop, modem and router many times
I noticed you requested this from a different thread so I am adding it...
Running ipconfig /all I get:
