I am new to this forum and have been asked to join by some of my friends.
Well most of my PC related issues are handled by the IT guy I call for. But i find some problems are too costly/unable to be traced.
I am using win 7 ultimate system ,
Processor:- AMD Phenom(tm) II1100T Processor 3.3 ghz
Installed memory :- 4 GB.
system type:- 64 bit operating system.
My network cable is directly connected to the PC. gigabyte motherboard and the local area connection properties says connect using Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2
well i have been having issues with network while using skype. i tried to look into the other topic listed by not sure if its related to mine ( since i didn't understand most of it). Anyways the issue is while i am using skype or running skype after a period of time ( maybe a hr or two ) my internet speed decreases rapidly. I am kinda using a low speed connection (512 kbps plan, for which i get around 70 kbps download speed ) but because of some problem my speed goes down to 40-38 kbps also i tried to constantly monitor all the programs but i found mostly skype and one other scheduled task and host for schedule task ( which i close down which seemed to be a suspicions program).
I tried to fix this by uninstalling the skype program or restart windows and never run the skype program unless necessary.
Can anyone please let me know what might be the reasons for this slow speed of internet and is it got something to do with skype?? The isp is confident that it is not relating to problem on his side, only once he said that the problem for slow speed is cross connection and later on he refused to have any problem on his side.
P.S:- i have Kaspersky Internet security 2012 installed and skype is installed as a trusted source.
