My Samsung TV UE37ES6710 series has stopped connecting to the internet after a couple of trouble-free years. I have tried numerous solutions - resetting the TV, resetting the Smart Hub, unplugging the TV, unplugging/restarting the router, putting in different DNS settings - all to no avail. The TV sees the wireless networks, checks the connection, then says it cannot connect to the internet. All I get is the MAC number, but no IP settings automatically (I have tried setting them manually, but with the same result - no connection).
What is puzzling is that beneath the TV set I have a Samsung Blu Ray/DVD player and that connects to the internet, via its own Smart Hub, without any problem. It therefore seems unlikely that the router is responsible?
My router is Thomson Gateway TG 585 v7. I have a Mac computer using Mac OS X version 10.6.8 and cannot therefore access TSG SysInfo.
I am in the UK.
