How to configure wireless router on 2nd subnet

I have two subnets on my home network, one for my family's Internet access and one for my video surveillance system.

Sorry for the link rather than inserting a picture but I don't have an account anywhere I can link to the picture or don't know how from Flickr.

It all works correctly except for the wireless connection on the video network. I'm trying to use the wireless router as an access point instead of router; maybe that just won't work with the two routers I've tried. Alternatively, I could have a third subnet for the wireless cameras but I am unsure how to make that work so that the dual-homed PC could access it.

What is best? To buy an access point rather than a router? Or manual route to a third subnet? If the latter, I'd appreciate any instruction on how to configure it. I've read some articles from various router makers on it but it's still not clear.

Thanks,

Dale
