A little background. I have a shop away from my house. I installed cat5 cable underground when building, about 6 years ago, worked great. Last year I lost my shop to fire. We have rebuilt through insurance. The electrician reinstalled a network outlet, I ran my new cable from outlet the computer.
Question, I can connect to my house network, but have no internet connection. Says my router is not responding. Can a single wire or pair not connected cause this?
Tested at outlet same out come. Don't think it is my new cable or ends.
