I am trying to figure something out My router is out in the living room, in my bedroom I have 2 different laptops setting side by side, my Toshiba wifi strength says "Fair" and the laptop right next to it says "Excellent" and has full bars. I have been noticing deteriorating performance for a while.
I searched online and saw a post saying if you open and close your laptop a lot (which I do) it can wear out the wifi wire because it goes through the hinge. I have already updated the drivers for the wifi so that's not it.
Has anyone ever heard of this? If it's true it sounds like a hard fix. Any suggestions? Thanks.
