How do I enable Pv6?

I have 2 Win 7 computers. Each says they belong to a homegroup but they can't communicate. Neither has trouble access ing the internet. The desktop is on ethernet. The laptop is on a wireless network. I followed a link from one of your forum answers and the laptop follows perfectly. When I try to o the laptop, I can get to the right spot in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\parameters but there is no entry for Disabled Components. The only thing I see is that the host name is DESKTOP (true) and the domain is mshome.net. Since the network properties connections have both IPv4 andIPv6 checked but the troubleshooter says IPv6 is not enabled, I don't know where to go next.
