Hello everyone, and as my title states I would like to try to change my wifi to a 5Ghz signal. I would like to try this because of all the interference from everyone in my small situated neighborhood where my levels of interference on the top floor of my complex get litterally 20+ signals from every house in the neighborhood. By using my handy dandy inSSIDer program I have determined that every single one of these wifi signals are 2.4 Ghz, and therefore I believe that by changing my wifi to a 5Ghz channel I can avoid some of this unwanted interference. If you believe differently please do tell why. Any who, my service provider is Century Link and I know how to access my router and mess with its settings if necessary, however I was wondering if maybe I needed to do something else? Any advice/insight is greatly valued.
