Networking and Printing

Our business just switched from AT&T to TWC. Better prices for better bandwidth. However, since we switched we have had horrible issues with the networking/router. We have about 6-8 devices wireless connected to the router. None of them are pulling a lot from it. Just basic internet browsing and occasional youtube watching. However, we have a printer connected by wire and a desktop connect with wire and those two devices are having the worst problems. They are not connecting as well, hit or miss on getting them to connect. If we send something to the printer it takes restarting the printer or computer to occasionally print. For the desktop connected I have to reset the network card on it for it to begin connecting to the network properly.

I was told we should get a Static IP. But TWC charges $20/month for that.
Can I buy my extra router and set up my own static IP? Would you think that would fix it?
