I have a very simple litlle box, that has a web server built in. http://www.alyrica.net/net_hatchet
I use it to measure solar radiation, using a small solar panel and measuring the voltage with the nethatchet. Now I can see the info over the internet through the Nethatchet web server.
Now I put this behind a 3G modem router,to measure solar radiation in places without wired internet. But now don´t havve a public IP address, so I cannot access the Nethatchet´sweb server.
The Nethatchet can send an email if certain conditions are met. It uses SNMP, but I don´t know what that is.
So I thought maybe I can set up a VPN between the nethatchet and my home network. Then I can access the webserver over the VPN.
Is that true? Is that smart solution? If so, what equipment do I buy and how do I configure this to make it work?
