I am using an Arris DG860 router that was given to me by my ISP, I am using a laptop using windows 7.
It seems to be completely random when it happens but sometimes my connection will allow me to chat on programs like Skype or Steam, though I can not browse the internet or use non-chat programs that use internet. When I use the Windows diagnose for networking it "resolves" the issue by resetting the router but this only solves the problem for one minute before my connection wont let me browse the internet again. I have had people from my ISP come by on several occasions but it seems to continue to be a problem.
