I have a comcast hybrid modem/router that's positioned on the first floor. I'm on the second floor, trying to use my wireless. I'm just going to ignore my other wireless issue for now. Here's 20 pings to google.com:
As you can see, these ping times are absolute insanity. Now look, my wireless hygiene isn't the best. I could probably find a better place for my router or move it to the second floor of the house. But this is just ridiculous. There is so little information online about these stupid router/modem combos and I've exhausted my ability to diagnose the problem. Please. Any insight into why this is happening would be appreciated.
Edit: This problem has been happening for months. I have tried changing the router's wireless channel. Unfortunately there are 5 or 6 routers each on 1, 6, and 11, so I opted for 9 with few results.
