To start off, the reason I put the 552/556 in the title is that while the drivers installed on my PC are for the 552, the adapter physically on my computer looks like a 556. I need to ask two things:
1. Why doesn't the wireless network adapter show up on the device manager? The only thing under "Network Adapters" is the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller #2
2. How come the under "Other Devices", the Ethernet Controller has the yellow alert triangle?
Unless the fix allows me to download necessary files on one computer and transfer it to the other via USB, please make sure whatever solution you recommend doesn't require Internet connection.
