Hi

I have a linksys WRT54G router which has the power LED blinking. I googled out and found that the blinking LED indicates corrupted firmware and needs a firmware upgrade. I tried the below things but they didnot help.

1. Power cycled the router ( 3 minutes) with all cables unplugged, blinking problem continues

2. Connecting the PC ethernet port and router port 2, tried to open the web admin tool typing 192.168.1.1. Got the below message

"Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.1"

3. Assigned a static ip (see the static_ip.jpg) attached. ping 192.168.1.1 and ping works

4. downloaded tftp.exe and WRT54g v3.1 firmare from website and tried to upgrade but firmware upgrade failed 3 times

5. power led still blinks. Any clues to resolve this. Please help
