Hello there, I rarely go into forums for I find they are a long hastle, however it's been almost a month now that i've been having issues with this and i'd like to get to the bottom of it.
I use windows 7
I stay at a hotel, and the hotel has 3 wifi connections, one for staff and one for guests, and the old wifi that's still open I use to use the one for staff until I could not connect to it anymore.
i'll try to be as descriptive as possible, I am currently using the old wifi, when i learned that I was unable to connect to the main one, I started asking around. all the staff can connect to it. my laptop seems to be the one with the problem. I decided to connect direct, and it worked, but when trying to reconnect as a wifi, it failed (mind you the router is behind reception)
PS: I am a staff member of the hotel.
I spoke to some friends of mine to figure out the problem, we enamble Team Viewer so he can dabble on my laptop, however he could not get far. I did a ipconfig/release and ipconfig/enable on the cmd, but I don't know what i'm getting from that.
I am not a big fan of trying to troubleshoot things myself, so if anyone is interested we could coordinate a time and date to have a Team Viewer session and i'd give you permission to see what the problem is.
I could connect to 2 wireless connections so in case you need to disconnect from one to try the main one, we won't split apart.
The access point is a WPA2-personal
encryption AES
One more thing, When i connected direct, it first said something link (your ip is clashing with another ip, or something like that)
That's all I really have, if anyone can fix this you would have my never ending gratitude and my honorable thanks!
