I have a router at one end of our house. There are 2 computers (1 Mavericks Mac and 1 Vista PC) set up on this same end. At the extreme other end (only 60') there is a Mac connected to the router with an Ethernet cable. I want to strengthen the wireless signal at the other end of the house since I often use a Linux Mint netbook or an iPad mini at that end and the signal is very weak.
My router is a cheap Linksys WRT54G. The things I have found so far, are to add an access point or repeater or to move my router more to the center of the house, which would entail going under the house and doing some duck-walking which is doable, but not desirable. Usually very sore the next few days. A better router is also an option, but not sure if that would change my signal strength.
I'm wondering which system would be the best option for what I want, or is there something I haven't come across yet?
Any help would be appreciated.
