My University blocks gaming ports. Someone helped me with tunneling via SSH to a VPS. So basically it is set up, I can access things I couldn't before (signing into Steam, downloading patches etc). Unfortunately I still can't connect to any online games. (CS:GO, CoD4, QuakeLive, TF2, etc.)

Any suggestions welcome, although try and explain it a bit (or give keywords for google search :P), I'm new and learned this stuff in the last 48 hours :S
Specs:
- VPS - OpenVZ.IO - IO3G 3 Shared Cores 3072MB Guaranteed 50GB RAID10 Disk Space 1000GB Bandwidth 1 IPv4 Netherlands Centos 5 OS
- Programs - Putty to tunnel, Proxifier to control which applications use the proxy.
Steps so far:
- Set up an SSH tunnel with Putty to my VPS
- Changed the default SSH port on the VPS from 22 to 443 (probably best to be secure)
- Used Proxifier to forward all connections through to the VPS (excluding Putty)
- Everything works - I load up internet explorer and it thinks I'm somewhere in the Netherlands. But when I can't see online servers and when I try to directly join one that I know exists my connection times out.
- When I load up a game I don't see a connection in Proxifier, seems weird.
