Wireless network adapter does not pick up connnections.

Hi guys,
I have recently been experiencing some problems with my laptop's wireless network adapter.

All I see now is the normal wireless sign, but with a red cross by it.
I am really confused and have tried everything, I have tried going to - Control Panel > Networking and Internet > Network Connections.
And I do not see my wireless network adapter, All I do see is - Local Area Connection which says Network cable unplugged, It also has a red cross next to it
The name of this is Atheros AR8152/8158 PCl-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDlS 6.20)

I am really lost and have no idea what is making it do this.
