I also am having a problem with my Win7 laptop seeing wifi networks. It was working fine about a week ago but for the last few days it can't or won't discover ANY wifi networks and there are a dozen or so in the neighborhood that I can see on my desktop and Win8.1 laptop.. I tried "Connect to a Network" and it won't respond. I then go back to where it says Unkown and under More information, it then says that Network List Service List needs to be turned on. When I click to turn it on, I get a message asking if I want to let Network and Sharing Center make a change to my computer. When I click yes, I get an error message that "The dependency service or group failed to start."
Has this laptop been corrupted by a virus or other malware? Or is this a hardware failure?
