Hey guys, having a really tough issue. I am running Windows 8.1, my PC is a newly built custom.
I have AT&T u-verse, and I am attempting to connect my PC via powerline network adapter. When I attempt to connect via wifi or Ethernet I get a limited connectivity issue. After running Windows troubleshoot, it says I have invalid IP configuration. However I was able to connect an Xbox through my power line network adapter. my PC has no issues connecting directly to the modem, but through the powerline network adapter it seems to have blocked access. I should note no matter the settings my DHCP remains disabled. I am using a Netgear power line 1200, and all of the necessary LED lights which indicate power, link, and connectivity, are green. I'm not sure if the issue lies in my powerline adapter or in my network settings.
I have adjusted every manner of network settings + attempted to connect through static IP + automatic IP + IP config /release + ipconfig /renew + changed Ethernet cables + changed powerline wall sockets + restarted modem + factory reset modem + flushed DHCP + opened all ports via Tech support + updated windows drivers.
Can anyone help me? I am at my wits end. My 1200 dollar investment has stumped the crap out of me.
