After insufficient information to solve my problem using hamachi for a VPN it was recommended to me here to use teamviewer. Unfortunately I am still not able to access my shared drive using it either. I'm able to establish the VPN connection and the name of my PC t home shows up in network. But when I attempt to view it I get the same error I got with hamachi. "Windows can't access \\MY-PC check the spelling of the name. Otherwise there might be a problem with your network. Try to identify and resolve network problems. Click diagnose." Clicking diagnose results in no solutions. I even attempted to access the PC at my house using the VPN IP by typing \\x.xxx.xx.xxx where x are the numbers provided to me by teamviewer for my PC at home that I'm trying to access from my parents house. I'm able to establish a remote control session and use my PC at home from my tablet while at my parents house. So I know teamviewer is working on both PC and tablet. Any ideas what is causing the problem with accessing the shared drive?
