I get my internet from the local cable TV company. I simply connect the wire to the back of the computer. There is no modem or router or anything. I get online by double clicking on the windows dialer shortcut on the desktop. Before I reformatted my computer, I was able to start my computer and it would automatically dial and connect me to the internet. I didnt have to click on anything. But now it doesnt.

I will tell you what I have done. I have gone to Scheduled Tasks --- Add new Task -- clicked on browse and selected rasphone.exe from the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32 and then selected the option "When my computer starts". Now when my computer starts, its gives me a pop-up message but I still have to click on connect to get connected.

Previously I did not have to do all this, it would directly dial and get connected. My username and password is stored and I have unchecked the option "Prompt for username and password" and "Include Windows logon domain" in the properties windows of this connection.

How can I simply get online automatically without having to click anything when my computer starts ??
