Hello, my brothers just got Midcontinent internet installed at there house and have the Cisco DPC3828D DOCSIS 3.0 Data Gateway modem/router combo. Anyways the router/modem combo is downstairs and if your with in 5-10 feet of the it the connection is great on both 2.4 and 5 GHZ band and when there on 5 GHZ band the connection get's 115-120 down and 10-12 up but once you start getting a little farther away then that and even into the downstairs bedroom the signal strength goes way down. and if your upstairs it's got nothing at all on any device laptop phone PS3. So why is the signal strength so bad unless your 5- 10 feet from the router and what can we do to fix that or should I just call them and be like What's the problem as it was just installed today and I tested it but just on the spot that happens to get super great speeds and just was like great it works forgetting to test in other places until after the guy left. So what should I/they do to fix the problem or should I just call Midcontinet back and have them come out. The house is only like 1250-1500 Sq feet so not a big place at all so they should be able to go farther then 5-10 feet from the router/modem.
