Hello all.
I could use some advice for some problems with wifi connectivity...
My 3-4 year-old Pavillion dm4 (Windows 7) won't connect to my home wifi network, but it connects fine to other networks and hotspots. I just moved to a new home so I have never been able to connect to this network with this computer. However, I have a Mac from work, and my smart phone, both of which have no problems connecting to my wifi at home. Honestly I'm baffled.
I've checked on my device drivers. They seem to all be fine, though I'm not completely sure what to look for. My network and sharing center shows that I'm connected to the wifi with full bars, but whenever I open a webpage on any browser, it won't load. I've tried reinstalling one of my drivers (Atheros), and restarting my laptop in safe mode, but nothing has worked so far. Troubleshooting doesn't identify any problems, either.
I haven't tried messing with the router because it's in my landlady's room. So I would prefer to try working with other solutions first...
If anyone has dealt with this same problem, or has any ideas for more things I could try to fix this, I would be very grateful. :)
