Ok so lets just say this is frustrating. I have been watching videos to try a resolve the problem to no avail. I have TWC as my ISP just for pointers if that will help. I also have a modem router combination. The router is a Netgear WNDR4500 N900 Dual Band Gigabit Wifi Router. I haven't owned it two weeks. The problem is that for some odd reason when im online gaming the internet drops. I was playing a game and it says maybe 5 minutes into it "throughput fell to unacceptable level". When im directly plugged into my modem the internet is fine no drops but when im on my router that happens. I'm just confused because it is basically brand new and my old router was a linksys E1200 and had the SAME exact problem. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
