Boost WiFi Signal

I recently had Comcast XFinity internet installed and I am running wireless throughout the house. I am not able to move my wireless Xfinity router.
I have come up with a problem of signal strength in one area of the house. I was hoping I could use my old Linksys E2500 router as a Bridge and boost the signal into the other area of my home. Can I do this wireless ? Can I link the Linksys router to the Xfinity router wireless and then have the Linksys router transmit the signal on from it's location to the other area of the house ?
