Cannot get on internet

I have laptop that is connected wireless to the router at home. It has always worked fine up until recently it is connected to the internet and router but with no network access. So it is saying it is connected but i cannot get onto any webpages. I know it is not the modem/router because it is directly connected to a desktop and this computer; which is working fine. I have attempted resetting settings in chrome and IE, played with the firewall. Network adapters seem fine as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
