Connecting router to modem in another room

So basically the house I'm right now has a main house and a sleep out building connected separately, I sleep in the separate building and want internet access in my room, however the walls are lined with tin which (apparently) disrupts wifi.

So I was wondering if it's possible to plug a router into the adsl in the wall and through that connect it to the modem in the main house.
