Hello all,
I have been having problems with my wifi connection on my Toshiba Satellite laptop, ever since I bought it from an Office Depot.
What happens is I'll be using the internet, no problem, then suddenly it will be a limited connection, and I cannot access anything. Sometimes it will only happen for a few seconds and then goes back to normal, but sometimes I have to disconnect from the network, forget the connection, then reconnect.
I am fairly certain that the wifi or the router are not to blame, as I have changed providers twice believing that the ISP was the problem, and I have received updated routers as well, but I keep experiencing the same limited connection. I have restarted the router numerous times and changed the router settings to every possible combination I could think of to no avail.
I have updated and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, and I have disabled TCP /IPv6 thinking that could be a problem. (This last "solution" worked for several days, and I had no disconnections from the network, but just today I've encountered the problem twice.)
I tried calling both Microsoft and Toshiba, and they both told me that it was a software issue and that I needed to subscribe to their annual services in order to receive troubleshooting help.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
