A few days ago I turned on my computer to find it was not connecting to my home wireless network. It then went to the Blue Screen of Death with an explanation I was able to link to issues with the wireless adapter. I was able to find a driver update on the HP site that said it was fixing the error and after downloading and installing it connectivity returned and worked fine for the rest of the evening. However, every time I turn the computer off and then on it reverts to the same problem and is now also adjusting the brightness of the screen to a darker setting for no apparent reason. I am using a HP Pavilion dv6 with Windows 7. I see a lot of posts with similar issues but I cannot figure out if this is something that I can fix or if the wireless card is shot. Any help would be much appreciated.
