Now I'm not a 100% whats causing this but I believe it's a laptop one of my family members uses. Every now and then my ping rises from 30 to around 200 for about 5 minutes and then returns to 30 again for maybe 30 minutes to an hour (which is really frustating when playing games). Now this only happens when he is using his laptop and when I tell him to close it, the lag dissappears immediately instead of the said 5 minutes. So I went to have a look whats causing this but couldnt find any suspicious software whatsoever. I also waited for the lag to happen again and looked at all the processes going on at his laptop but nothing was found. I also searched on the internet but couldnt find anything like this. So I'm wondering, what could be causing this?
